Connectivity, Airport Arrival & Events: Practical Info Now Just Past the Halfway Mark

This round's additions

SIM cards & connectivity, the Sydney Airport arrival guide, and public holidays & events are now translated into Indonesian, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.

Eleven of twenty-one done

That puts the practical info section just past the halfway mark in all three languages. What's left: renting a car, working holiday visas, travel insurance, drone and photography laws, short-term rental rules, solo travel, opening hours, Australian slang, Sydney with kids, and time zones — ten articles, each progressively more specialised than the ones we've prioritised so far.

A genuine proofing note

We caught two real mistakes while preparing this batch before it went live: a stray English word left in the middle of a Japanese sentence, and (in an earlier update) a wrong character variant in a different Japanese file. Both were caught by deliberately re-reading the translated text as a native reader would, not just checking that a translation exists. We'd rather catch these ourselves than have a visitor be the first to notice.

Once practical info is fully translated, we'll move on to the highest-traffic neighbourhood and attraction guides next. As always, get in touch with anything you'd like prioritised differently.
